As the 200th year since
the birth of Charles Darwin, and the 150th year since the
publication of On the Origins of Species
commences,
it is the honor of the AAPA to have Dr. John van Wyhe as our invited
luncheon speaker at our 78th Annual Meeting in Chicago.
Dr. van Wyhe is a historian of
science at the University of Cambridge (a Bye-Fellow of Christ’s College --Darwin's own college)
and
is the founder and director of The Complete Works of Charles Darwin Online.
Dr.Van Wyhe's recent research has challenged the long-held view that Darwin kept his theory
secret for 20 years.
