3nd Meeting of the Paleopathology Association in South America
Argentina, October 2007

We are very pleased to inform you that the first arrangements for the Third Paleopathology Association Meeting in South America (PAMinSA III) are well underway. This Meeting is to take place in Necochea-Quequén, Argentina in October 2009. We hope PAMinSA III will be able to continue with the enriching tradition of the PPA of holding periodic regional meetings that give scholars and students around the world the opportunity to spend three fruitful days together in a friendly atmosphere, sharing research problems, methodologies and results.

We are inviting you to visit our amazing country in October, to attend to PAMINSA and to travel around to visit the impressive landscapes of Patagonia, the snows of Bariloche and Ushuaia, the Glaciers of Magellan’s Strait, or the Andean Cordillera. Buenos Aires is the elegant capital of Argentina, the entry door to this visit wait for you with excellent wine, food and tango.

Argentina has also interesting archaeological and paleontological sites, such as the 7.000 years old footprints about 250km from Necochea. Archaeological tours will leave the meeting place to introduce the visitors to Historic and Prehistoric Argentina. Necochea offers all the facilities of a simple and efficient academic infrastructure including telephone and internet access. Low prices hotels and hostals, good restaurants, and the true hospitality of this big Spanish speaking country will be waiting for you in Argentina.

            See you in 2009!

Dr. Ricardo A. Guichón

President of the III PAMinSA
