News and Queries
I am currently conducting a PhD research at Leiden University and I am focusing on a skeletal assemblage from Alkmaar, the Netherlands (1448-1572). The cranium of one of the individuals displayed a very unusual cortical morphology (see attached images). Furthermore, this very masculine skull showed pronounced frontal bossing and a very vertical sloping frontal bone. Also, the lateral parts of the frontal bone appear to be protruding outward. I have never seen this before. Therefore, I hope that the your personal expertise or the Palaeopathology Association can be of help.
Thank you very much for you help.
Kind regards,
Rachel Schats
